Q: Will 5th grade be harder than other grades?
A: The work you do in 5th grade and what you are expected to learn will be more complex, but not
harder. If you have been keeping up with learning and work (if you practice good work habits) in
the other grades, you should do well in 5th grade.
Q: Will I have more responsibilities in 5th grade?
A: Yes. Some of you have already taken on new responsibilities, such as Safety Patrol. We hope that all
of you will join Boone service organizations or other activities, and that you accept the responsibility
of being role models for the younger students.
Q: Will 5th grade be fun?
A: No. Just kidding! Yes, 5th graders have plenty of fun.
Q: Who will be my teacher?
A: teaches Science, Ms. Zecca teaches Language Arts, Mr. Johnson teaches Math. Each homeroom teacher teaches social studies to her homeroom class.
Q: What will the fieldtrips be?
A: We will let you know. Check on the Field Trips tab under the For Parents tab. Stay tuned...
Q: When is lunch? Can we bring a snack?
A: Lunches:
Please bring a snack for the morning. We encourage you to bring "power foods." Power foods can
be enjoyed while you work (for about 10 minutes), and they provide your body with energy
for good health.
Q: If you are a student new to Boone, "Are Boone students nice?"
A: YES! I've been a teacher here for 10 years, and I know Boone Bears are nice. (We always have
several students new to Boone.)
